Prayer for Gaza

God of life and abundance, we lift before you the people of Gaza, whose days are marked by fear, hunger, and loss. We pray for peace where there is violence, for bread where there is famine, for medicine where there is deprivation, and for hope where despair has taken root.
Holy One, we lament the man-made famine that starves your children of nourishment and dignity. We grieve the wounded who cannot reach care, the sick who are denied healing, and the families who bury loved ones without answers. Stretch out your hand, O God, and turn the hearts of leaders and nations away from indifference and toward mercy.
Give courage to the powerful of this world to stop speaking empty words of peace and to act with justice that makes peace real. Strengthen those who deliver aid, those who bind wounds, and those who resist hatred. Protect the innocent, shelter the homeless, and let no life be forgotten in your sight.
God of all nations, remind us that peace is your gift and your command, that bread and medicine are not luxuries but the daily bread you desire for all. End war, end hunger, end despair. Bring forth a new day where swords are turned into plowshares and children laugh without fear.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life and Prince of Peace. Amen.
