Ordination of Eld. Kathy Anderson
On Palm Sunday, April 2, the congregation of Edgewater Presbyterian Church exercised its authority to ordain a ruling elder from among its members. The choosing of ruling elders, or presbyters, is where our denomination gets its name.
Eld. Kathy Anderson has a long history with this congregation. She has served as trustee and treasurer, and was a Sunday school teacher, too. She now serves on the Session, our church’s board of governors.
She will continue on as our treasurer, working with accountant Edwin Lee, CPA, to modernize our financial infrastructure.
In the same rite, Elds. Chuma Ezeokoli and Jude Nwosu were installed to new terms as ruling elders on the Session.
