Cleo Baker to be honored in service of thanksgiving

Cleo Baker, longtime building manager for over 30 years, has left his post at Edgewater Presbyterian Church. But having devoted so much of his heart and body to help maintain the New Community House, our property at 1020 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., it would be appropriate to celebrate such long service.

Everyone who has known Cleo, past and present, are invited to the sanctuary of the Edgewater Kirk on Sunday, July 16 at 11 a.m. for a service of thanksgiving. It will be followed by a program in the adjacent dining room and will feature a luncheon.

Pastor emeritus, Rev. Dr. Barbara Cathey, D.Min. who has been enjoying retirement for these past few years, will return to the pulpit as a special guest. She will help preside over the service with current pastor, the Rev. Kristin Hutson, M.Div., J.D.
