Dr. Timothy Forde, Ph.D.
Our music ministry is directed by the Dr. Timothy Forde, Ph.D.
Dr. Forde lives in the Southland of Chicago. He received his doctorate at the Peabody College of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. Before that, he received his Master’s in Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Bachelor’s degree at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Ala.
Over 17 years of music experience include former appointments at Oak Valley Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, Tenn. from 2005 to 2011. He also served intermittently at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky. from 2012 to 2020 upon the outbreak of pandemic.
A jazz musician, Dr. Forde has studied under Beegie Adair at Peabody from 1997 to 2000; and Donald Brown at University of Tennessee at Knoxville from 2005 to 2011.
