New interim business manager announced

With the retirement of Cleo Baker as of June 1 as building manager, we lost one of our main support systems in running our congregation. But the life and missions of the church and its New Community House goes on.

The Session of Edgewater Presbyterian Church debated and decided to create the office of Business Manager in its meeting on Sunday, June 25.

In the interim, the position was offered by the ruling elders to Eld. Kathy Anderson.

Eld. Kathy, as treasurer, has already been involved in cleaning up the records and helping Rev. Kristin Hutson create the new management systems needed to help meet the needs of our pastor, her staff, the congregation and its missions, today.

One of her roles in this interim appointment is to help identify the particular objectives of this position on a permanent basis. Her discoveries will help formulate the job description.

The Session expects to revisit this appointment in September of this year.
