Prayer for those who lost their lives at Richmond Road Baptist Church, Ky.

God of Peace,

We come to You with heavy hearts after the shooting at Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington. Two women—Christina and Beverly—were taken from this world too soon. Others were hurt, including a state trooper and people at church. Be near to all who are grieving, scared, or in pain.

Comfort the families who lost loved ones. Heal the bodies and hearts of those who were hurt. Give strength to the first responders and the pastors now caring for their community.

Help us not to turn away, but to stand together in love and hope. Teach us to build a world where worship is safe, violence is rare, and kindness is strong.

Hold the Richmond Road Baptist Church in Your hands, Lord. May they feel our prayers and Your deep love.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

Amen.
